25th Anniversary Mardi Gras Line Dancing Festival Photo Gallery
One God One Thought Center for Better Living congregants, friends and family celebrated together in a One Love Mardi Gras Line Dance Festival on Saturday, March 2, 2019 to preface the coming Lenten Season. The vibrant Mardi Gras colors of kelly green, deep purple, and bright yellow enlivened each one of us as we danced in harmony, unity, and oneness in popular line dances. It was a marvelous sight to see and a real spiritual demonstration to experience!
What fun!!! Zydeco music, a grand March parade with a Marshall, dancers that paraded before judges, and mask contests were part of the activities. The ornate masks were creative and beautiful. Is there any wonder, there was a three way tie for the best mask? In reality everyone who attended the festival was a winner. On Sunday, we symbolically removed our masks as we stepped forward to say yes to the Lenten experience and a deeper relationship with the Christ of our being.
